VALPEO warmly welcomes Marianne Fraiture as our new Partner, reinforcing our commitment to guiding organisations through sustainable transformation and conscious leadership. With over 30 years of international experience in consulting, financial services, telecom, and pharma and life sciences, Marianne brings a unique combination of strategic expertise, operational leadership, and coaching capabilities. Her experience in senior roles across both business and HR spans agile start-ups to complex global corporations, consistently prioritising people in the transformation process.

In this interview, Marianne shares how she sees leadership, disruption, and sustainability coming together to shape regenerative organisations.

Looking back on your journey, what’s the common thread — and what do you bring to VALPEO as a new Partner?

If I had to name one common thread, it’s driving change through people. I’ve always been a builder — starting from a blank page, reshaping when needed, and bringing people together around a shared purpose. From State Street Bank in Boston and London, to Deloitte Consulting in Luxembourg, and later at Pfizer and UCB, I’ve led transformations by connecting expertise across disciplines and unlocking human potential. That’s the spirit I bring to VALPEO: building, connecting, and pioneering — always with people at the center.

Too often I saw leaders feeling overwhelmed, especially in tackling the social dimension of sustainability — a pillar of ESG that frequently lags behind to my view.

Another theme in your journey is making disruption a catalyst for growth — not just a challenge to survive. How does that connect with VALPEO?

Throughout my career, I’ve worked across industries and company sizes — from start-ups to global corporations. A constant theme has been fostering innovation and transformation through business, culture, and people — whether by shaping new business models, leading organisational change, or driving operational efficiency. At VALPEO, this translates into helping leaders turn disruption into sustainable growth by aligning people, organisational structures, culture, and business outcomes to deliver value across several levels, from individuals to society.

What link do you see between innovation, people, and sustainable growth?

At heart, I’m a people lover. I believe human capital is as precious as financial capital — if not more — yet it is too often undervalued, as reflected in rising burnout and stress. To drive true innovation and sustainable growth, organisations need strong cultures and aligned leadership that unlock people’s potential while also protecting and nurturing it. This is where sustainability and social impact play a vital role — ensuring organisations are not only high-performing, but also purposeful and regenerative. VALPEO’s comprehensive model is designed precisely for this: helping organisations understand and create value in a sustainable, multi-dimensional way.

To drive true innovation and sustainable growth, organisations need strong cultures and aligned leadership that unlock people’s potential while also protecting and nurturing it.

What role does leadership play in shaping regenerative organisations?

As a coach, I’ve been energised by helping people and teams raise their awareness, step outside their comfort zones, and grow into conscious leaders. As a business leader, I’ve seen how drive, passion, and diversity of perspectives create both self-fulfilment and collective performance. This journey shaped me into a more empathetic, inclusive leader. I’m excited to apply these learnings at VALPEO through our methodologies and tools to enable more conscious leadership not just at the individual level, but across teams and entire organisations. Together, we can help organisations continuously renew themselves and thrive — not just sustain performance, but create conditions where people, culture, and business flourish for lasting societal impact.

In VALPEO, and in my conversations with Fabiaan, I recognised the same ambition: helping leaders, teams, and organisations thrive in disruption by fostering alignment that fuels innovation and creates societal value through a holistic, purpose-driven, dynamic and outcome-oriented approach.

Why VALPEO, and why now?

Life brings moments that require courageous turns. One such moment was my shift from business into HR, driven by a desire to elevate collective emotional intelligence and consciousness. More recently, I realised I wanted to broaden my impact on society by supporting organisations through the profound changes such as sustainability and digital transformation. Too often I saw leaders feeling overwhelmed, especially in tackling the social dimension of sustainability — a pillar of ESG that frequently lags behind to my view. What organisations need today is simplicity, a holistic approach, and strong alignment around purpose, culture, and leadership. In VALPEO, and in my conversations with Fabiaan (Executive Chairman of VALPEO), I recognised the same ambition: helping leaders, teams, and organisations thrive in disruption by fostering alignment that fuels innovation and creates societal value through a holistic, purpose-driven, dynamic and outcome-oriented approach.

In practical terms, how do you see yourself supporting leaders and organisations?

My purpose is to help organisations lead not just efficiently, but consciously and creatively — becoming places where people thrive, innovation emerges naturally, and long-term value is created for all stakeholders. At VALPEO, I will support leaders and executive teams through people, leadership and strategy advisory, ESG-driven transformation with a strong social focus, cultural alignment and maturity mapping, executive coaching and leadership development, and innovation and digital transformation. This work will be grounded in VALPEO’s ©Transformative Value Framework, which provides a foundation for understanding and optimising value to achieve transformational outcomes, while being tailored to each organisation’s unique goals, context, and values.

I’m beyond excited — and yes, a little emotional — to begin this journey, as it’s rooted in what matters most to me.

If you’re leading change, navigating complexity, or redefining impact, I’d love to connect and explore how we can co-create meaningful transformation together.
